Why I'm convinced that RE2 Remake will have fixed camera angles
Hirabayashi, the producer of RE2 Remake and former director of the RE Remake Remaster mentioned in an interview with Game Informer in October 2014 that the knowledge they gained through the work on the RE Remake Remaster would be very helpful with a potential RE2 Remake, if they would decide to make it the classical way. This would only be the case if fans really want this and not any other approach. You can watch the interview here --> (question at 14:20 minutes.)
On July 30th, R&D Division 1 asked the fans that they're not sure how to approach a RE2 remake and what the fans would like to see. The overwhelming majority said, we want to have the same treatment they gave RE1 Remake. You can see many posts like this with hundreds, even thousands of likes. A very clear answer if you ask me.
On August 13th, Hirabayashi posted the official RE2 remake confirmation and it was quiet around the RE2 remake ever since.
But what was also very interesting was the panel at the GDC (Game Developers Conference) in March this year. As you probably all know, they said that they're aware that fixed camera angles is something the fans really liked over the last 20 years. By doing so, it still must be relevant in some form. Because if it wouldn't be, why mention it in the first place?
Of course, there are many arguments against this, such as Alyson Court's statement on Crimson Head Elder TV or the interview Hirabayashi gave together with Yasuhiro Anpo where they talked about a "modernized" version of the game. But the first RE Remake was also modernized in my opinion.
As you all know, there isn't much information out there but these are my summarized thoughts of all the little puzzle pieces we got so far. What do you think about it?

So Dusk Golem on Neogaf, who previously leaked some of the RE7 DLC info, said, "So just to emphasize something here and not in the main topic, the guy who said REmake 2 would be 'releasing' soon is definitely a mistranslation and meant to say he'll be revealing it soon. All I'll say is I'm not speaking off a gut feeling."
He also mentioned previously that he expects a late 2018 or early 2019 release date.
We know for sure the game is being revealed soon going by Kobayashi's comment's. Judging by the fact that RE2 Remake wasn't Capcom's major title planned for this fiscal year (that was Monster Hunter: World), that release date isn't too far-fetched. It won't be out before April of 2018 at the very least.
